Decisiontron provides services for clients to enable data preservation and make cost-effective information technology choices.

Support Services Include:

  • Support network connectivity and/or WiFi for Mac and PC support Video Conferencing and Social Media
  • White Glove Information Technology (IT) Support for Seniors
    • Individual Training
    • Training with Family Members for Remote Management
      • Enabling Family Members to remotely communicate with Family Owned IT equipment not within the same household
    • Preserve Data for Future Generations
    • Extract “lost” data from obsolete MACs and PCs if needed – when possible.
    • Mac and PC Maintenance to Preserve Data
    • Connection of the computer to home or business devices
    • Connection of the computer to the client’s local NAS and/or Cloud Software as a Service
    • Installation of commonly known antivirus and firewall programs
  • Installation and management of Network Attached Servers (NAS) from Synology
    • Set up of Synology NAS and connection to internet via physical media or wifi.
    • Set up of Synology Routers as part of complete home or small business IT solution
  • Digitization of magnetic media to Optical Archival Media such as Video Tape to Blue Ray Disc, DVD or CD
  • Create copies of private personal/family videos from VHS to Optical Media and/or installation on NAS or Cloud
  • Provide Conduct Technical Trade Studies using Logical Decisions for Windows or support those trade studies.

Technical Choices – Trade Studies – the Reason for Decisiontron

Trade Studies can be simple or complex. Tools applied by Decisiontron are Simple Spreadsheets, Pugh, and Logical Decisions for Windows (LDW). Logical Decisions for Windows is now freeware. The license for Logical Decisions for Windows is released under the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). If LDW is desired, Decisiontron will work with the client on a time and material basis to support the evaluation of alternatives and support the best decision for the client. LDW is a tool typically used by large corporations.

Decisiontron uses it’s human capital that possess technical experience supporting trade study decisions from aircraft test laboratories to automotive manufacturing supplier source selections. Understanding that technical decisions for consumers can be costly and time consuming, Decisiontron is willing to fill the need to support clients as they discern a robust and cost-effective outcome as part of a technical decision process. These choices can be as simple as what album to listen to up through picking a home automation or NAS solution for a business oriented household.
